    Care Home at the Meadows unlike other Adult Family Homes is operated and supervised by 2 Registered Nurses with vast professional experiences in mental health, critical care, medical-surgical and skilled nursing care. Our commitment is to listen to your needs and make your stay worthwhile. We believe the every Resident should be treated as an important human being with respect regardless of who you are. The Facility is located in a serene neighborhood of Oakbrook. We are nearby St Clare Hospital and Fire department. Safety is a priority in the neighborhood and the people are warm and friendly.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Care Home at the Meadows is owned and operated by 2 Registered Nurses who has met all the requirements for an AFH licensure. They hold a BSN degree and have an extensive background and experience in mental health, critical care nursing, med-surg nursing and skilled nursing care setting. Caregivers has completed the following requirements: Fundamentals of care giving, Nurse delegation, Criminal background checks, CPR, First aid, TB testing and 10 hours of continuing education.

    Any increased in memory loss, personality changes that will interfere with the care of other residents, extensive loss of awareness detrimental to the resident's safety, lack of ability to respond to environment progressing to loss of speech and movement, abnormal reflexes and rigid muscles, abnormal vital signs and obvious signs that the AFH staff is unable to handle which needs a specialty care setting or hospitalization.
    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    Special care programs will be based on the Resident's Negotiated Care Plan upon admission considering the Resident's preferences. Resident and resident's families will be able to participate in choosing activities that will fit the Resident's physical condition, budget and lifestyle. The main goal is to keep their mind active, maintain social connections, eat good nutrition, making a commitment to get moving and develop a healthy lifestyle.
