    About My Business
    MedStar Visiting Nurse Association helps people heal in the comfort of their own homes. We provide in-home healthcare services, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, infusion therapy and personal care. Our clinical professionals travel across the Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia region to care for homebound, disabled and chronically ill patients. To support good health in the community, MedStar VNA also provides traveling vaccination and wellness clinics across the region.     Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation
    MedStar VNA offers a full range of in-home healthcare services, including:
    Skilled nursing and specialty programs like wound, ostomy and continence care
    Rehabilitation: occupational, physical and speech therapies
    Medical social work
    Telemonitoring
    After hours care and support
    Support for activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, walking, meal preparation)
    Personal care services (private duty)

    Home Infusion
    MedStar VNA provides intravenous drug therapy and nutrition support services to patients in their homes. Services include pharmacist and dietician consultation as well as:
    Cardiac disease management for end-stage cardiac disease: Inotropic therapy with Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone
    Nutritional support services: Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and enteral therapies
    Pain management: intravenous and subcutaneous
    Antibiotics
    Chemotherapy

    Vaccination and Wellness Services
    We support health in the community by offering travelling vaccination clinics, screenings and wellness education at organizations across the region. Vaccinations available include:
    Influenza (Flu)
    Hepatitis A and B
    Pneumonia
    Meningococcal
    Tetanus/diphtheria
    Shingles (Herpes zoster)

    Screenings, wellness programs and health education services include:
    Health-risk and heart-health assessments
    Screenings: biometrics, cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure
    Tuberculosis (TB) testing
