    About My Business
Serving patients who have an advanced or terminal illness in providing support to the patient and family as well as physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort. Our goal is to allow the patient to live out their life in the residence of their choosing. There are several levels of care provided under the Medicare and State Medicaid programs. These consist of:
    • Routine Home Care (including patients who live in nursing homes or personal care homes.
    • General Inpatient Symptom Control - a patient can be admitted to the hospital setting for symptom management.
    • Respite Care - Families can have their loved one removed from the home for inpatient care to allow a time of rest for the caregivers for up to 5 nights a month.
    • Crisis Care Nursing - 24-hour staffing can be provided in the home to assist a family's care of the patient when there is a symptom that is out of control and considered a crisis.
    About My Services
Under the Benefit programs, hospices will pay for any necessary Durable Medical Equipment (DME) such as oxygen, hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs, bedside comodes, etc.

Hospice also pays for any necessary medical supplies needed to care for the patient at home. These can include adult diapers, incontinent pads, gloves, catheters, toothettes, etc.

Hospice will also provide and pay for all the medications related to the patient's admitting diagnosis. If a cancer patient is admitted, all medication required to keep a patient comfortable are the responsibility of the hospice to provide. If a patient is admitted for any end stage disease, such as end stage Cardiac Disease, all heart medications which provide comfort care are the responsibility of the hospice to pay.

One must remember that Hospice is not only for Cancer patients, but any end stage disease. This may refer to end stage Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), End Stage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary (Lung) Disease (COPD), ES Stroke, ES Renal Disease, ES Alzheimers, ES Parkinsons, and many other illnesses.
Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
Patients who are receiving aggressive CURATIVE therapies are not hospice appropriate. However if treatment is offered for PALLIATIVE reasons, then patients are appropriate for hospice care.

Patients receiving Hyperalimentation / Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) are not hospice appropriate.

End Stage Renal Patients who continue with Dialysis are also not hospice appropriate.

Gastric feeding through a PEG Tube may, indeed, be appropriate for some hospice patients.

Ventitlators would not be appropriate for a hospice admission.
