    About My Business
    AAging Better In-Home Care offers a wide variety of in-home services to clients throughout the five North Idaho counties. Services not only include routine chore work like cleaning and meal preparation but also skilled nursing services for newborns all the way to elderly individuals over 100 years old. Locally owned and operated by a physician assistant (PA-C) and a registered nurse (RN) husband/wife team, AAging Better meets virtually any needs a household might have to keep a loved one safe and effective at home.
    About My Services
    Aside from the services listed below, AAging Better In-Home Care also works to meet unusual requests, such as, accompanying elderly individuals on flights, when needed. Any request will be carefully considered.

    The following is a list of typical in-home care needs offered:
    • 2 hours to 24-hour care 7 days a week depending on the individual's needs
    • Light housekeeping
    • Laundry
    • Meal planning and preparation
    • Assistance with ambulation/walking
    • Transportation to appointments or errands
    • Assistance with bathing, showering, or bed baths, when necessary
    • Medication reminders
    • Assistance with Personal Care, hygiene and grooming
    • Assistance with incontinence
    • Assistance with dressing
    • Assistance with shopping
    • Care for the terminally ill
    • "Respite" services for family caregivers that need time away
    • Assistance to those in Assisted Living Facilities on the "Independent" side of the house
    • RNs and LPNs available for nursing care when doctor ordered or needed
    Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
    AAging Better does not offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or nutritional therapy. However, we will work in partnership with Home Health agencies that offer these four services to ensure ongoing delivery of therapy, when requested and when appropriate for one of our CNAs (certified nursing assistants)to continue these services.
    Experience And Credentials
    AAging Better's owners both hold Master's degrees in their respective fields and have many years of clinical and medical experience. As the only in-home care agency in North Idaho run by a PA-C, this provides unique oversight to the agency's caregivers in both training provided by the owners, as well as, direction and advice given to caregivers when in the field. Due to the level of expertise of both owners, AAging Better has a quality assurance & training program second to none in North Idaho.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
    Fees are as follows:
    • $17 per hour with a 2-hour minimum
    • $18 per hour on weekends
    • $275 per 24-hour continuous care
    • The seven major holidays are charged at 1 & 1/2 times regular charges

    Medicaid, private pay, Respite Program and most insurance companies (long term care insurance) are accepted.

    Hours of Service
    Hours of service include weekends and weekdays from 2 hours up to 24-hour continuous care. Supervisors are available at all times for personal or on-call consultation.
