    About My Business
    The RIO Adult Day care is a social day program for older adults with social, physical and functional limitations. The program combines rehabilitative services with creative social, recreational, educational and social support services. It is designed to provide a warm and supportive environment for older adults who are experiencing a decrease in functioning due to stroke, arthritis, sensory loss or other physical impairments.

    Eligibility is available to adults 60 years or older who are in need of maintaining or improving their independence in physical functioning, social, recreational, and/or communication skills.

    About My Services
    The RIO Adult Day Health Care Center is a community-based day program providing a variety of health, therapeutic and social services designed to serve the specialized needs of brain impaired adults and the frail elderly.
    The primary objectives of the program are (1) to restore or maintain optimal capacity for self care, and (2) to delay or prevent inappropriate institutionalization. The program stresses partnership with the participant, the family, the physician, and the community in working towards maintaining personal independence.

    Scope of Services
    A Multidisciplinary team of health professionals conducts a comprehensive assessment of each participant to determine which ADHC services fulfill the individual’s specific health and social needs. The individualized plan of care may include any of the following:

    Nursing Services
    Physical Therapy
    Occupational Therapy
    Speech and Cognitive Therapy
    Aquatic Exercise (RIO-Orange only)
    Behavioral Planning
    Social/Psychological Services
    Meals and Nutritional Counseling
    Recreation and Social Activities
    Cognitive Re-Training
    Family Counseling and Support Groups
    Transportation Coordination to and from Center, if necessary.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
    Adult Day Care program is based on a reccomended $20.00 per day donation. There is no billing for this program, as it is donation based.

    Methods of payment for Adult Day Health Care Services include Medi-Cal, Private Payment, or SCAN (hmo) for San Clemente office only. The ADHC rate is $80.50 per day.
