    About My Business
The East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging stands as the single point of entry for adults aged 60 and over to access available services, resources, and benefits. We are a not for profit agency that receives state and federal funding to provide in home services as well as other services needed for those over 60.

Our primary function is providing information regarding existing programs and services for older adults.
    About My Services
We receive requests by phone, email, or folks who walk in looking for information. If someone is in need of supportive assistive services in the home, a case manager will come to the home to meet with the older adult and develop a plan of care to meet their needs. There is NO charge for the assessment to determine need and develop the plan of care.

Based on several factors, including need, financial resources, and availability of specific services, the case manager will determine which program meets their needs most effectively. There may or may not be a co-pay involved, and once the program has been determined, the case manager will provide information to the home health agency that will provide the services.
Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
Our primary limitation is the applicant MUST be aged 60 or over, or calling on behalf of someone aged 60 or over.
    Experience And Credentials
We have more than 30 years of experience working with older adults and meeting their individual needs. If we cannot provide the resources necessary to meet the needs, we will refer to the agency or entity that CAN provide the resources.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
We have Older Americans Act in-home services, but as our smallest program, we don't have much availability for anyone who met the requirements of another program. This is a needs based service.

We have the state funded Senior Care Act, which does apply a sliding fee scale to the cost of the service, based on liquid assets.

The third program is the Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Frail Elderly Waiver (HCBS FE). This Medicaid program looks as functional need as well as financial resources. Based on income, an individual MAY be required to pay a Client Obligation, which is the client's share of the cost.
