    About My Business
Planning for the personal and financial care of your elderly loved ones or yourself can provide peace of mind for the entire family. About My Services
    Powers of Attorney

Power of attorney allows one individual to act in the place of another. There are two main types of powers of attorney:
    • Healthcare powers of attorney
    • Financial powers of attorney

With a healthcare power of attorney, you can make healthcare decisions for another individual when they are not able to do so. A financial power of attorney allows you to take care of another person's finances, such as paying bills or accessing their accounts. Both can be very useful tools in caring for the elderly because they can allow a loved one or other trusted person the full power to care for the elderly person's affairs.

    Guardianships and Care Givers

When an elderly person cannot care for themselves, it may be best to have the court appoint a guardian to take full responsibility for the care of that individual. Guardianships can be limited to a certain aspect of care, sometimes called conservatorships, or they can be unlimited.

At Saidis, Sullivan & Rogers, we can also help you draft care giver agreements for situations that do not require guardianship or arrange for the appointment of a healthcare representative in case of incapacitation.

There are many options to consider for care of the elderly. We can help you understand which legal actions are best for your situation.

    Estate Planning

Another important aspect of caring for the elderly is ensuring that they have a good estate plan. Our estate planning attorneys can help you find the best strategy for wealth transfer to the next generation.

If you need assistance to plan for your future or the personal and financial care of an elderly loved one, please contact the Law Offices of Saidis, Sullivan & Rogers today to schedule your consultation with experienced Carlisle estate planning attorneys. We represent Pennsylvania clients in and around Cumberland County or Dauphin County, including Carlisle, Lemoyne, Harrisburg, and Camp Hill.
