    Eric B. Barnes obtained his bachelors in political science in 1992 and his legal degree in 1995 from Brigham Young University. Mr. Barnes devotes his practice solely to estate planning and elder law with special expertise in asset protection from the cost of long-term care, incapacity, and customized trust-based estate planning. Mr. Barnes was the 2010-2011 Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Utah Bar. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is one of only two attorneys in Utah certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Mr. Barnes was the 2012-2013 President of the Weber/Davis County Estate Planning Council and serves on the board of Cottages of Hope, a local charity. Mr. Barnes is married and has 4 sons, and 1 daughter ranging in ages 12 to 23 years.
