    Seaport Apartments consists of 18, one bedroom 55 and over, adult apartments. Each apartment is approximately 500 square feet each and features individually controlled heating and air conditioning units, dedicated storage areas for each unit to store large bulky items as well as a washer and dryer facility in the basement area are serviced by elevator. The facility also features an outdoor seating area complete with tables and benches. Seaport Apartments is located in Tuckerton Borough, a small Jersey Shore town which is currently undergoing a re-vitalization. The town fathers are in the process of constructing a downtown streetscape project along Route 9 just south of the apartment location. Improvements include the installation of brick paver sidewalks, curbs, pedestrian friendly amenities and gas style lamp street lighting. The apartments are within walking distance of the Tuckerton business district. The Business district contains several quaint shops and restaurants, and is home to two convenience stores. Southern Ocean county hospital is only a 10 minute ride away and there is a general practicioner immediately across the street. The Tuckerton Borough/Little Egg Harbor area is home to numerous restaurants ranging from full-scale restaurants, to pizzerias to fast food. The site is a 10 minute drive to Stafford Township which is the retail hub of southern Ocean County. Stafford Township is home to many national chains such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Fridays, Applebee’s and numerous fast food restaurants, pizzerias and a movie complex. Additional shopping includes Kohl’s, Costco, BJ’s and Target department stores. The apartment complex is serviced by NJ Transit Buses (a bus stop is located immediately in front of the apartments). NJ Transit operates routes along the Route 9 corridor. This Bus service provides direct transportation to Atlantic City, New York and other major areas of interest. The immediate area is serviced by numerous places of worship, some within a five minute walk and most other places of worship located within 5 miles. Ocean County maintains an extensive parks and recreation program. Tip Seaman County Park is less than 1 mile from the apartments. This park contains both passive and active recreation activities. Additionally, the Sea Oaks and Atlantis Golf courses are located within 5 miles of the site. The area surrounding the Seaport Apartments is rich with entertainment options. The Tuckerton Seaport Museum is located just down the street from the project, as are several marinas. The beaches, nightlife and amusements of Long Beach Island are located nearby, and Atlantic City with its myriad mix of entertainment options is a short ride away.
