    About My Services
With more than 23 years experience with seniors and 24 years with children & families, Lorraine Cummings, LCSW, C-ASWCM started Cummings Care Management, Inc. in 2002 out of a desire to be able to look after seniors and the disabled in a holistic way.

Lorraine recognized there were many seniors in Los Angeles County who either had family that were concerned about them but were long-distance caregivers, or had a conservator who was very busy and wasn't able to see them as regularly as they would like.

With her experience in overseeing mental health programs, Lorraine knew how to design a service that would be meaningful for her clients and provide valuable oversight to vulnerable folks who need advocacy.

Lorraine has over 19 years of professional experience working with seniors and their families in a myriad of settings, as well as more than 20 years as a professional psychotherapist.

She chose the motto "Caring with Passion" to reflect her vision of balancing true, compassionate caring with strong advocacy skills as a licensed clinical social worker.

When Lorraine provides an in-home assessment of the senior/disabled person in their home, she looks at all aspects of the person's environment that affects their care and coordinates their unique care needs. She monitors the services the person is/is supposed to be receiving, and utilizes her specialty as a resource person to link the senior to various local resources for their best advantage. She also represents the family as an advocate in all areas, and is their liaison where they cannot be present.

At times, the senior/disabled person is struggling to cope with their life changes/stages, and individual private psychotherapy would be an advantage in helping the person adjust and accept their life better. Lorraine can visit where the person lives, and bill Medicare within a certain radius of her offices as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Many find the confluence of services advantageous as the many changes confront the senior/disabled person and help them come out the other side faster and better equipped for the inevitable changes in the future.
