    About My Business
The National Kidney Foundation leads the fight against kidney disease with the following initiatives:

    Public Awareness
NKF builds public awareness about kidney health, chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the importance of early detection through a national “Love YourKidneys” campaign, free patient brochures, local educational programs and a comprehensive, user-friendly website.

    Early Detection and Prevention
NKF provides free Kidney Health Risk Assessments for the public and free Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP®) screenings for individuals at increased risk for CKD.

    Advancing Clinical Care
NKF offers clinical guidelines and resources for healthcare practitioners, continuing education courses, professional meetings and medical journals. NKF’s clinical guidelines have been the basis of the CKD staging system, which has transformed the way kidney disease is diagnosed and treated.

    Funding Kidney Research
NKF funds research into the causes and treatment of kidney disease, having awarded more than $80 million in grants to over 1,000 researchers over the course of more than 40 years.

    Advocating for Patients
NKF vigorously advocates on key public policies and legislative issues, in both Congress and state legislatures, on the behalf of kidney patients, transplant recipients, living donors and donor families.

    Promoting Organ Donation
NKF has launched a groundbreaking collaborative initiative called “END THE WAIT!” as a response to the nationwide kidney transplant shortage. NKF also organizes the U.S. Transplant Games to showcase the success of transplantation and organ donation.

Improving Kidney Health Around the World
As the rate of CKD rises across the globe, NKF is extending its early detection programs, educational resources and services to government agencies and organizations around the world.
