    Experience And Credentials
Marlene Stocks is an award-winning entrepreneur with proven expertise in senior move management, software training, non-profit program management and German language instruction.

She founded Word Information Services, Inc., a consulting practice that offered personalized software training in 1983. The firm’s client base included international corporations, small to medium sized companies, school districts, and government agencies. In January 2008, she combined her consulting expertise, talent for project management, outstanding organizational skills, nurturing personality and ability to relate and work with seniors by creating Senior Transition Services. In her capacity as a senior move manager, she helps her clients downsize their homes and transition to retirement communities. She meets their organizing goals by providing gentle, patient and objective guidance that provides them and their families the peace of mind they need during a time of great emotional and physical stress. She manages a staff of five.

Marlene’s personal goal is to work with her clients and help them achieve their own objectives, whether downsizing their home, preparing to relocate, becoming more proficient with new software or improving their German language skills. She does this by listening and understanding her client’s needs, thereby developing creative cooperation and synergy with them. This rapport then allows her to launch a strategy that pro-actively sets realistic expectations, identifies and evaluates alternatives, establishes parameters, defines deliverables, communicates timelines, implements the required services and monitors post-completion satisfaction.

Mrs. Stocks leveraged her organizational and program management skills as Head of School of the Immanuel German School, where she directed a professional teaching staff of 23 and oversaw the language program of 150 children and adults for ten years. In her leadership role as co-chair of the German-American Day Celebration Committee, she led the greater Philadelphia 2007 and 2008 commemoration by partnering with many area institutions and organizations to coordinate and promote the festival’s 34 events over twelve days.

Marlene has used her German fluency to teach German at the University of Pennsylvania, St. Joseph’s University, Siemens Financial Services, Ann’s Choice Lifelong Learning and to individual students. She serves as president of the Concordia Trust, a non-profit charitable foundation she founded in 2002 that promotes and supports German language education, scholarship and cultural programs. To date, she has raised $123,000 to fund the Trust’s programs and language prizes.

She earned her MBA Degree from Drexel University and completed certificate programs at the LaSalle University Non-Profit Management Center and the Goethe Institute in Berlin, Germany. She is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers, Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and Bucks County Women’s Business Forum.
