    About My Business
Nightingale is a Senior Assistance business owned and operated by Connie Keith-Kerns. I have been doing caregiving since 2002. I offer services to all age groups but my specialty is Senior care.
    About My Services
Some of the services I provide:

    Fun outings
    Hospital visits
    Skilled nursing home visits
    Adult Family Home visits
    Personal care including bathing
    Help with pets
    Light housekeeping
House sitting or mail pick-up and house
checks while client is on vacation
    End of life support
Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
I am a non medical caregiving business and follow the guidelines of Washington state. I am not allowed to give injections, fill medisets, administer oxygen, just to give a few examples.

I do not do any heavy transferring of clients. I am not able to take a heavy wheelchair in my car. If client is able to transfer, I have a transport wheelchair available when going to doctor visits etc. Client must be weight bearing.
    Experience And Credentials
I have taken the Fundamentals of Caregiving course, I have a NAR certificate,CPR/First Aid,and have attended many classes and workshops since starting this line of work in 2002. I am very comfortable with Alzheimer's and dementia patients.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
$28 per hour for caregiving and transportation with a 2 hr minimum. Mileage is charged at current IRS rate when client is in the vehicle.

$35 per visit for bathing. The visit is for 1 hour or less.

$45 per hour for care management. Some families are out of state and need someone to look in on their loved one in an adult family home or skilled nursing home. This is to ensure the client is getting good care. I also make arrangements for clients to move.

I bill once a month, require no contracts and I receive my payments by check.

My clients are private pay and occasionally long term care insurance provides my services depending on carrier.

    Hours of Service
Most of my clients need care during the 7am to 5pm time period. I am flexible if a time is needed outside that window. I also do overnights if needed. I am occasionally needed in the middle of the night for an emergency. I have taken clients to the emergency room or picked them up at the hospital after being treated. If I am needed in the middle of the night I charge my time and mileage from my door back to my door. I also charge time and a half for major holidays.
