    About My Business
    Serenity is a private geriatric care management agency assisting elders, their families and caregivers. We provide personalized services to help our Clients get their needs met with less confusion, frustration and anxiety. Services may include consultation, assessment, care planning and implementation; arrangement and coordination of services; referral, evaluation, follow-up to ensure quality and continuity of care; monitoring, advocacy and on-going support, and other services as needed. We also provide specialized services to long-distance caregivers. (Please see further description below.)

    We assess what is needed, plan and coordinate services, monitor and evaluate how things are working out, and advocate for our clients. We provide practical and emotional support in working through problems and difficult transitions. We understand what you are facing and can help you to make more informed decisions. We know how to find resources and cut through "red tape" to help you get the care, services and support that are best suited to your sitiuation. We also provide assistance with oversight, continuity of care, finding trustworthy help-at-home, bill paying, and basic money management. We provide on-going personalized assistance to elders, to their families, and to long-distance caregivers. We also offer a resource lending library.
    Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
    Serenity provides services to seniors age 65 and older, and to family caregivers of any age. We do not provide services in southern San Mateo County below the City of San Mateo (in Foster City, San Carlos, Belmont, Redwood City or Menlo Park).
    Experience And Credentials
    Founded in January, 1996, Serenity adheres to the National Standards of Practice developed by the Case Management Society of America. We strive for excellence in care management and compassionate service. Our care managers meet the criterion for national Board Certification, including the strict guidelines for the Certified Case Manager (C.C.M.) credential. Since November, 1996, Serenity has also met the Accreditation Standards of the Better Business Bureau and has earned an A+ rating. Our Director holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.S. in Counseling, and advanced certifications including the C.C.M. In addition to over thirty five years of experience in healthcare and mental health, she has extensive experience as a family caregiver.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
    Private care management services are not covered by Medicare or MediCal, and are paid on a private, fee-for-service basis. Call 650-991-5141 for current hourly rates. Rates for long-term services are negotiable. Some services are available on a sliding scale.

    Services are generally provided from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays by appointment. We are also able to make special arrangements to meet with clients, make hospital visits or hold urgent meetings after hours or on weekends.
