    About My Business
Elder Advocates are senior care experts serving Muskegon, Whitehall, Montague, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Shelby, Hart, and New Era.

At Elder Advocates, we believe every older adult deserves to age safely with dignity, respect, the best possible care and quality of life. Older adults in general, especially those with dementia and/or other neurological disorders are very vulnerable to falling victim to being taken advantage of on many different levels and in many different arenas. Whether an older adult resides at home independently or with care, in an assisted living facility, in a nursing home, or are hospitalized, they still need someone overseeing their care, health, safety and well-being.

Elder Advocates recognizes that families and loved ones are often unable to manage the day to day care of their loved one due to logistics, commitments and other circumstances. We understand that you want the very best care for your parent or grandparent, even if you cannot physically do it yourself. That’s why we are here. We are the experts. Our Care Management and Patient Advocacy services offer care plan options for all circumstances. We tailor each individual care plan around the individual’s specific needs.

We work for you and your loved one. Because we are independent from any home care agency, senior living facility, or hospital, our commitment, dedication, and responsibility is to our clients. Elder Advocates coordinates and oversees all providers of care and services to ensure quality of care. We provide the highest level of ethical standards and we expect this of all organizations providing services to our clients.

It is our mission to see that your loved one receives the care and compassion they deserve and you expect. We eliminate the worry. We are your eyes, your ears, and your voice.

    Experience And Credentials
Carol Ann Deneke is a geriatric care professional with over 10 years of experience serving older adults and their families. Her genuine love, respect, concern and compassion for older adults shines through in everything she is and does. Carol Ann is respected in the West Michigan lakeshore community as the expert in senior care management and advocacy.

Carol Ann comes from a back ground of Bank Management, Consumer and Commercial Lending, and a simultaneous career as a Paramedic and Fire Fighter where she saw firsthand the vulnerability of the aging who are subject to neglect, exploitation, and abuse on many different levels. At the same time she was watching her own parents as they went through overwhelming challenges in caring for and looking after their parents.

It was then that Carol Ann decided to pursue her education in Gerontology and her mission to make a contribution to the aging community in protecting their rights, their dignity and their well-being. Her diversified background gives her the skill, knowledge, experience, and expertise necessary in managing every aspect of a senior's life.

Carol Ann listens and is as caring and compassionate with each individual client as though they were her own parent.
