    The firm's manager, Daniel Alan Terner, Esq., provides compassionate and comprehensive long term care planning, disability advocacy, and estate planning for South Florida seniors, families, and disabled individuals of all ages.
    About My Services
    Terner Elder Law, P.L., assists seniors, and disabled individuals of all ages, with the following services:
    • Estate Planning - last will and testaments and revocable living trusts
    • Special Needs Planning - first party special needs settlement protection planning, including the utilization of D(4)(a) individual special needs trusts and D(4)(c) pooled special needs trusts, as well as third party special needs planning for individuals desiring to leave an inheritance to a disabled beneficiary
    • Incapacity Planning - general durable powers of attorney and health care advance directives
    • Social Security Disability Advocacy - assistance with Social Security disability appeals, beginning at the administrative law judge level
    • Long Term Care Planning - assistance with the development and implementation of strategies designed to protect assets in the face of the ruinous costs associated with long term care.
    Experience And Credentials
    Daniel Alan Terner, Esq., has practiced as an elder law attorney for 14 years. He has served his community as a member of the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council, the Ruth Rales Pooled Disability Task Force, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Sinai in Delray Beach, Florida. He maintains active memberships with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, and the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. He presently serves the Palm Beach County Bar Association as a member of its Elder Law Affairs and Solo & Small Firm committees. He lectures extensively on disability and aging matters. He authored the chapter on Public Benefits for the current edition of the Florida Bar’s Guardianship Practice Manual, and now brings his knowledge of SSI, Medicaid, and other public benefits to bear for his clients with regard to special needs planning, long term care asset protection planning, Social Security claimant advocacy, estate planning, and other issues relating to disability and aging.
