    About My Business
    We represent families, hospitals, nursing homes, and agencies trying to assist those than can no longer meet their basic needs by seeking protective orders, such as guardianships and conservatorships. We also help individuals prepare for the future with estate planning such as wills, trusts, health care proxies and power of attorney instruments. Finally, we assist families settle the final affairs of their loved ones by administering the estate of the deceased.

    The attorneys are licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Schmidt is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. and has practiced law, almost exclusively in this area of practice, for over 35 years. Representative clients include Baystate Medical Center, Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Franklin Medical Center, Holyoke Hospital, Mass. General Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, Wing Memorial Hospital, Highland Valley Elder Services, Inc., Chapin Center and Country Estates of Agawam.
    Fees And Payment Sources Accepted
    The cost of each case varies with the circumstances, because we do charge on an hourly basis. The bulk of the fact gathering and drafting of routine documents, however, is done by trained, experienced and attorney-supervised paralegals at a substantially reduced rate, to maximize the cost-efficiency of our services.
