Casa de Vida was established in 2007 as an onsite day program that provides a weekly respite break for family caregivers of persons with early to mid-stage dementia, including Alzheimer’s. Our trained volunteer staffed programming results in family caregivers who are renewed and refreshed by short term relief. Additionally, persons with dementia enjoy social and creative activities. When COVID-19 hit and the community Casa shifted to an online program to continue providing caregivers respite .

Overview of Service

Online Casa de Vida meets via Zoom on Tuesday & Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to Noon and has a nominal monthly fee (scholarships available). One session is composed of a variety of interactive activities such as: Music & Singing Chair Exercise Show & Tell Special Programs The other session is usually Music Therapy with a certified Neurologic Music Therapist
