The purpose of this program is to provide an understanding of mental health issues that can occur prior to and after the diagnosis of a neurocognitive disorder, for both the person with dementia and their care partners. Participants will leave this program being able to identify concerning mental health symptoms, understand key differences in dementia and neurocognitive symptoms during diagnosis, and explain what interventions and treatments are available. Importantly, participants will also be able to articulate important preventative practices to care for mental health challenges and locate resources in the community for support.
