Los grupos de apoyo crean un entorno o una comunidad segura, confidencial y de apoyo y una oportunidad para que los participantes desarrollen un apoyo mutuo informal y relaciones sociales. También educan e informan a los participantes sobre la demencia y ayudan a los participantes a desarrollar métodos y habilidades para resolver problemas.
