Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
Additional Information
All are welcome to our Caregiver Support Group. We meet the 3rd Monday of each month from 1:00-2:00pm at Abernethy Laurels 102 Leonard Ave, Newton, NC 28658.
We meet in the Dogwood Room.
You may park in the lot at the top of the hill when you enter the campus. Main entrance is through the portico and the receptionist will direct you to the Dogwood Room.
If you are attending for the first time, please call / email the Facilitator to introduce yourself and confirm there are no changes to the date, time, or location.
