Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
This virtual caregiver support group is designed for spouses/partners who are caregiving for their loved one who have Alzheimer's/dementia. The group is led by Ginny Luftman, a trained Alzheimer's Association support group facilitator volunteer, who is also currently dealing with her spouse's early stage Alzheimer's diagnosis.
The virtual meetings will take place via zoom on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM ET. Registration is required in order to get the zoom link. For questions or more information, contact Ginny Luftman at 859-619-3339 or gluftman@gmail.com.
