The purpose of early-stage support groups is to provide a safe and supportive environment of peers who are living in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia and the care partners. These groups offer dementia-related education, emotional support and connections with resources so that the group members may enhance their lives in the midst of the disease.
This group is intended for people who have received a diagnosis of dementia or mild cognitive impairment, who aware of their diagnosis and their memory loss, and who are willing and able to discuss this with others. Prescreening is required to register.
For Pre-screening, please email Lily at: lruckman@pathlights.org or Jenny at: jvaccaro@pathlights.org
This group meets in person weekly in Orland Park - location will provided after screening
This is an 8-week group which meets weekly beginning April 11th
This support group is for both persons living with early stage dementia and their care partners. Groups meets separately at the same day and time.
