Hearing loss is highly prevalent and when not addressed, it can impact our physical, mental and cognitive health, communication and safety. In this session, we will discuss what you need to know about hearing loss, what to look for in an audiologist and what to expect from evaluations. We will review practical tips and tech solutions, including hearing aids, captioning apps and communication strategies, that truly can help improve living with a hearing loss. We will also review the latest research on the connection between untreated hearing loss and dementia as well as unique services CHC offers for individuals and families living with dementia or cognitive impairment, or have concerns about their cognition.
