This education series teaches caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia. Topics include tips for understanding key aspects of caregiving, supporting independence, communicating effectively, responding to dementia-related behaviors and exploring care and support services.
The Empowered Caregiver Education Series is a five-part learning experience designed to help caregivers build confidence, reduce stress, and feel supported throughout the dementia care journey. Each session offers practical strategies, evidence-informed guidance, and real-world tools to navigate daily care, behavioral changes, safety concerns, and long-term planning.
Caregivers are welcome to join any individual session that fits their needs or participate in the full series for a more complete foundation in dementia care. All programs are free, open to the community, and led by trained Alzheimer’s Association educators.
