People living with dementia may exhibit behaviors as a way to communicate their needs and feelings as the disease progresses. Learn how dementia can change a person’s behavior, possible triggers and person-centered care approaches to address behaviors.

Alexandra Morris, Alzheimer's Association Community Educator volunteer and geriatric care manager, will share with us about tips for communicating with people with dementia, enhancing your ability to listen, adapt quickly and respond with empathy in unpredictable situations. Learn to encourage validation of a loved ones' expressions and emotions while fostering more meaningful and positive interactions.
This class is open to caregivers and the general public to support those with dementia and their care partners/caregivers.
